The Olmsted Society of Riverside has extended an invitation to our group, and any interested residents, to attend a round table discussion about the upcoming Hofmann Dam and Swan Pond projects. This discussion will examine the proposed plans and their impact on Riverside; specifically with regard to restoration, functionality and aesthetics. This will not be a debate about potential flood mitigation, nor whether or not the projects should be undertaken.
The Olmsted Society is taking a proactive approach during the planning stages to help advocate well designed and executed projects.
The event will be held on Thursday, May 12th from 9:30am-12:30pm in the Auditorium of the Riverside Village Hall, 27 Riverside Road, Riverside. Representatives from the Olmsted Society, the Village of Riverside, and other governmental agencies will be present and will participate in the discussion.
Hope to see you there.
